What to expect from your Newborn photo shoot in Cambridge.

Sessions take place in the comfort of your your own home

During the first few weeks the last thing you will probably want to do is leave your home. The stress of getting bags ready, ensuring you have everything you need to travel to a studio can be a chore.

My newborn photo shoot service is mobile so no worrying about what you may have forgotten or even having to get dressed because I come to you!

I’m based in Ely and nicely placed for travel across Cambridgeshire and happy to travel nationwide.

When to book

I normally advise booking in your session at your 20-week scan – if you’re already past this date still contact me to check availability.

A date is reserved in my diary for the week after your due date, I only take a limited number of newborn sessions a month to ensure I can move dates around if  your little one decides to come earlier or later than expected.

How old should your baby be?

The best time for a newborn photo shoot is between 5-17 days old. This is because your new baby is still very flexible and a lot easier to pose in the cute poses you see on my website, babies also tend to go into a deeper sleep at this age.
(I have manage to pose babies up to 4 months old so please don’t think you’re too late to book in if your baby is a little older than 17 days)

How long does a photo session take?

I work with the need of you baby, taking plenty of breaks for feeding, changing, cuddles and getting them happy and settled with me. On average sessions can last between 2 and 3 hours.

Safety first

I have been trained by some of the best newborn photographers in the UK on how to pose newborns safely and so they are never put in a position that is in any way stressful to them.

The safety of your newborn baby is ALWAYS my first priority throughout the shoot.
