At home Newborn Sessions!

Welcome to the world little Lucas, I got to meet this lovely young man last week for his first ever photoshoot. Friends of his Mum and Dad had bought the session as a gift for them, which was so incredibly thoughtful! It seems to be that buying a photoshoot is becoming a very popular idea, and it is the one gift that will truly last a lifetime 🙂

I thoroughly enjoyed my morning with Lucas and his wonderful parents Jara and José, we had lots of giggles with just how Lucas does things his way, even at 7 days old!!

If he wanted his arm a certain way no one was telling him differently, and the way he actually seemed to look right at me and respond to my voice was so amazing for a little one his age. We got on to talking about our families and Mum was telling me how Lucas was already back to birth weight at just a few days old. She then went on to say “he must take after his dad as a baby” – and out came the photos!! Dad was a very lovely chubby baby bless him 🙂 hahaha

It got me thinking at just how special it is to have photos taken at this age and any age really. A visual aid that lets us look back on our memories, and see who our children look like, and show them who we were before we became their parents is just priceless. I am truly grateful with every person who books a shoot with me that I get to document such a special time in their lives.

I look forward to seeing Lucas and his parents again when he is sitting for his next milestone photos (which judging by how Lucas was at his newborn session it will be in about a months time mum 😉 hahaha)
